Hanyang University located in Seongdong-gu Seoul-si opened a Halal food court on the second floor of Students’s Hall (학생회관) on March 7.
Among the university’s 2,000 international students, approximately 80 are Muslims. This number is still growing, but there are only a few types of food they can eat. Hence, Hanyang University decided to open a Halal cafeteria on campus.
Halal food is available at the cafeteria every Tuesday and Thursday and the price per meal is around 4,500 won. The Halal food court is open to everyone, even if they are not a student of the university.
