Quran and ...

We are hyper connected in these times and age,  what if one has to access Quran on urgent basis, while online do you have any favorite website? It can be downloaded from several online sources  but which one do you prefer most?

For me, one such website is THIS, which I often refer to when in need.

I wish we could share websites - with other users. If you have any recommendation then share with others..

In the past few weeks, I have met several Korean students majoring in Arabic language  or Islamic history in various Korean universities. Their main concern was: how to improve Arabic and where and how can they find people with whom they can have a language exchange, how to meet real people?? I think that in Korea it is very simple, you can use SNS and create a page for that, you can also leave message on Korea Muslim Federation's website and facebook page and last but not the least, visit the Seoul mosque in Itaewon and that would help.

By the way, at the moment, 6 universities in Korea offer courses in Arabic or Middle Eastern Studies and none of them ranks among the top 8 universities of Korea. Students feel that a lot needs to be improved in these particular courses.

Saudi Arabia is the third biggest trading partner of South Korea after China and USA. Saudi Arabia has signed an MoU with South Korea on educational exchange and every year some 50 students can come on fully supported government scholarships to Korea from Saudi Arabia and vice versa. I think that the Saudi government must invest in educational projects in South Korea with public and private universities and that would be very helpful for both the countries in future as well as for the region and beyond. South Korea is in dire starits to have some really good teachers on Islam, Arabic and the Middle Eastern Studies major.
